The deduced amino acid sequence of the cDNA indicated a surprising similarity to a potent inhibitor of Ca(2+)-phospholipid-dependent protein kinase C. DNA blot analysis indicated that this gene is located at more than a single locus in rice genome DNA. Expression of this gene is regulated by external stresses."xsd:string
