One of these encodes a novel prepropeptide with a predicted C-terminal cleavage product RGLRRLGRKIAHG-VKKYGPTVLRIIRIAG. The chemically synthesized form of this 29 amino acid peptide is shown to be a thermostable, broad spectrum, bactericidal agent."xsd:string
