It is susceptible to amikacin, cefoxitan, clarith-romycin, ciprofloxacin, doxycycline, imipenem and sulfamethoxazole at or below the respective MIC breakpoints but intermediate to tobramycin. It grows at temperatures between 28 and 37 degrees, and the optimum temperature is 33 degrees. Glucose, maltose, D-fructose and trehalose are used as carbon source for growth with acid production.
